DUSHANBE, September 18, 2010, Asia-Plus -- An international youth environmental education camp, entitled “Ecology of Commonwealth” and the School of Young Ecologist will take place in Dushanbe from September 19 to September 26.
Organized by Tajikistan’s Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs in cooperation with the CIS, the environmental education camp will bring together representatives from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia and Tajikistan to consider issues related to involvement of youth in tackling ecological problems facing the CIS nations, the source at the Committee for Youth, Sports and Tourism Affairs said.
The main objective of the camp and the school of young ecologist is in promoting active participation of youth in implementation of the environmental protection programs, he said, adding that the events are also dedicated to discuss expansion of youth cooperation within the CIS area and creation of database of youth organizations functioning in the CIS member states.
