KULOB, September 20, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Over the first eight months of this year, officers from the Kulob police department have confiscated 10 assault rifles Kalashnikov from residents of the city and the district of Kulob, the Kulob police department chief Abdulvahhob Iskandarov said.
Besides, four Makarov pistols, four hand grenades, on e sub-machine gun and more than 1,500 bullets of different caliber have been confiscated from the population of the report period.
In January-August 2010, local police officers have also seized nearly six kilograms of narcotics, Iskandarov said.
