DUSHANBE, September 21, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Presentation of two books on journalists by western authors translated into Tajik is being held in Dushanbe today.
“Ten Commandments of Journalism” by known Swedish political reporter Erik Fichtelius and “The Newsroom Management” by U.S. TV man with 25 years of service Robert Campbell have translated into Tajik and published under financial support of the Media Program of the Tajik Branch of Open Society Institute/Assistance Foundation (OSI/AF-Tajikistan).
The program coordinator, Ms. Rukhshona Olimova, says “Ten Commandments of Journalism” was translated into Tajik by Tajik TV reporter Izatmand Salomov and “The Newsroom Management” was translated into Tajik by MAsrour Abdulloyev, lecturer with Russian-Tajik Slavic University (RTSU) in Dushanbe.
A total circulation of both books is 400 copies and they will be distributed to libraries at faculties of journalism, republican libraries, as well as electronic and print media of Tajikistan.
