DUSHANBE, September 27, 2010, Asia-Plus -- The Government of India has provided 200,000 U.S. dollars to help flood-affected households in the city of Kulob, according to the Indian Embassy in Dushanbe.
The assistance was handed over to the Government of Tajikistan at the end of last week, the source said.
We will recall that according to Rapid Emergency Assessment and Coordination Team (REACT) the floods that affected the Kulob area in Khatlon province on May 7 killed at least 22 people, leaving over 200 injured, and more than 4,000 displaced from their homes.
