DUSHANBE, September 29, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Further expansion of economic cooperation between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan was discussed here yesterday at a meeting of Tajik Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Umed Davlatzoda, with Kazakh delegation, led by Dmitry Gruzo, an official with Kazakhstan’s National Agency for exports and Investments (KAZNEXINVEST).
According to the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (MEDT), the sides exchanged views on ways of further expansion of mutually beneficial trade and economic cooperation between the two countries and expansion of spheres of cooperation between the business communities of Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.
They also discussed expansion of cooperation between commodity producers of the two countries, attraction of investments and participation of Kazakh companies in free economic zones of Tajikistan, the source at a MEDT said.
The sides noted that there was still considerable room for expansion of economic ties between Tajikistan and Kazakhstan.
