DUSHANBE, October 4, 2010, Asia-Plus /Mavjouda Hasanova/ -- The limited liability company, Charkhi Gardoun, which owns a number of newspapers in Tajikistan, today launched a new newspaper – Express .

The Charkhi Gardoun director general Akbarali Sattorov told Asia-Plus on Monday that Express contains news and advertising and it does not contain analytical materials.  “The newspaper is a prototype of foreign tabloids,” said Sattorov, “The first edition has a circulation of a 3,000 but we plan to increase the circulation in the future.”

Express was registered with the Ministry of Culture (MoC) on September 14 as the daily newspaper but it still appears twice a week – on Mondays and Thursdays, Sattorov noted.  “When we solve all personnel issues, the newspapers will appear every day,” he said.

Express that is printed at the printing house, Intishor, will be published in two languages – Tajik and Russian.

We will recall that the first daily that was launched in Tajikistan since 1992 is Imrouz-News (News Today).  It was launched on August 30.  This four-page newspaper covers a broad range of issues -- politics, economics, international news.
