KHUJAND, October 4, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Nearly 414 kilograms of narcotics have bee seized in Sughd province over the first nine months of this year, which is four kilograms more than in the same period last year, Nasim Olimov, the head of the information analysis department with the Drug Control Agency’s branch in Sughd province, told Asia-Plus today.
A totaled included more than 54 kilograms of heroin, 26.565 kilograms of raw opium, 329.546 kilograms of hashish and 2.944 kilograms of other types of narcotics.
Over the same nine-month period, 164 criminal proceedings have been instituted in the province on drug charges, Olimov said.
