DUSHANBE, October 6, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Tajik customs officers have warded off another attempt of transporting narcotics to Russia.
According to the Customs Committee, the 18-year-old woman from Hissar district, Sh.M., was detained yesterday during an inspection of passengers on the Dushanbe-Moscow flight on suspicion of having been involved in drug pushing.
She was discovered through x-ray to have ingested 28 wraps of substances proved to be heroin (110 grams), the source said.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained drug peddler and an investigation is under way.
