DUSHANBE, October 11, 2010, Asia-Plus  -- Minister of Education Abdurjabbor Rahmonov has expressed dissatisfaction with improper coverage by local media of problems facing the education sector.

“Today, many our journalists are mostly interested in issues related to wearing hijab and beards as if there are no other problems in the education sector,” the minister said.

According to him, journalists could cover achievements of Tajik school and university students, innovation problems, problems facing high schools, etc.

Rahmonov called on journalists to closely cooperate with the ministry in order to avoid tragic events that had taken place in some neighboring countries.
