KHUJAND, October 11, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Officers from the Sughd regional division for combating drug trafficking (drug police) seized more than 112 kilograms of narcotics overnight in Ghonchi district, according to the Sughd police directorate.
The source says after arrest of three drug pushers at the traffic police checkpoint in Jabborrasoulov district yesterday (more than 55 kilograms of hashish were confiscated from them), the Sughd drug police officers found the trace of another drug pusher. When searching house of the 44-year-old resident of the village of Dalyoni Bolo in Ghonchi district, M.M., police officers found four packages containing 112.6 kilograms of hashish.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against M.M. and an investigation is under way
