DUSHANBE, October 15, 2010, Asia-Plus -- The 9th session of the Eurasian Economic Community (EAEC) Integration Committee Health Council that opened in Dushanbe today has brought together delegations from Tajikistan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Ukraine as well as representatives of the World Health Organization (WHO) and some other international organizations, according to the Ministry of Health (MoH).
The source at a MoH says the meeting is considering issues related to fulfillment of decisions of the 8th session as well as the progress of implementation of events designed for 2008-2010 and the next few years aimed at promoting implementation of the EAEC priorities, and the plan of actions for implementation of the EAEC concerted social policy concept in the term of health care cooperation.
The meeting participants are also considering draft regulation on the basic principles of the state registration of medical equipment in the EAEC nations, draft agreement on cooperation in providing the population with medicines and medical equipment, and draft agreement on cooperation between the EAEC nations in preventing infectious diseases.
They are also expected to consider draft agreement on mutual recognition of medical reports on health condition of labor migrants.
