DUSHANBE, October 18, 2010, Asia-Plus -- Tajik farmers have begun to plow lands for potato, early vegetable and winter crop cultivations, according to the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA).
This year, 209,700 hectares have been allotted for thee purposes and farmers have plowed 12 percent of these lands to this day, the source at a MoA said.
According to him, 202,200 hectares have been allotted to the winter grain cultivation, 1,500 hectares have been allotted to the potato cultivation and 6,000 hectares have been allotted to the early vegetable cultivation.
