DUSHANBE, November 4, 2010, Asia-Plus - Korean Samsung C&T Corporation is interested in the construction of a power line in Tajikistan.
According to Barqi Tojik, the Korean company is interested in the construction of a 500Kw power line from the Dushanbe substation to Rogun hydropower station. The company is willing to allocate a long-term $60mln credit to Tajikistan for construction of this 100km long power line.
“Experts of the company have studied the construction site and are planning to submit an official document to the Government of the country,” the source has said.
According to the source, if the construction is approved, it will be completed in 2012 when the first unit of Rogun power plant will become operational.
