DUSHANBE, November 11, 2010, Asia-Plus  -- Air fuel prices may rise in Tajikistan at the end of the year, Muhabbatsho Abdulkhayev, the director general of Fuel Supply Company, told Asia-Plus Wednesday afternoon.

“The international oil product prices have shown an upward tendency and prices of air fuel have already risen at Moscow airports,” said Abdulkhayev.  “70 percent of oil products, including aviation kerosene, is delivered to Tajikistan from Russia and Turkmenistan.  These countries have begun to sell it at international prices. Taking this in to account, one may suppose that air fuel prices will rise in Tajikistan at the end of this year.”

According to him, the company has enough air fuel reserves to keep prices at current level.  “However, in late November we will begin to supply fuel from Russia at new prices, and therefore, we will sell it at new prices.”      

Since July 1, Russian has exported air fuel at the rate of US$1,330 per one ton, while before that, it had exported air fuel at US$1,150 per one ton.

In the meantime, Russian media report that wholesale prices of air fuel have risen 7.7 percent at Moscow airports as compared with the summer period.
