DUSHANBE, November 13, 2010, Asia-Plus -- On Friday November 12, a new modern school building was commissioned in the village of Navobod in Jomi district, Khatlon province.
According to the Ministry of Education (MoE), 946,000 somoni have been allocated for construction of that two-story building consisting of 12 classrooms. The school is provided with all necessary equipment and computers.
The school-opening ceremony was attended by Minister of Education Abujabbor Rahmonov and the Jomi district chairman Umedkhouja Zohir, the source at a MoE said.
The same day, the education minister inaugurated a branch of school # 52 in the Mash’al jamoat of Vakhsh district in Khatlon. A total cost of this project is 499,000 somoni.
It is to be noted that the MoE construction directorate has built 10 new schools across the country since the beginning of this year and four other schools will be finished until the end of the year, the source added.
