KHOROG, November 16, 2010, Asia-Plus -- The Khorog mayor’s office has provided humanitarian aid to local boarding school for orphaned children, center for children with physical disabilities and poor families on the occasion of the Idi Qurbon holiday.
Mansour Gulamadshoyev, an official with the mayor’s office, says 10 poor families have received an extraordinary grant of 50 somoni each.
“Besides, the 500 somoni worth of humanitarian aid has been provided the Khorog boarding school for orphaned children and the 300 somoni worth of humanitarian aid has been provided to the local center for children with physical disabilities, Nour,” said Gulamadshoyev, “The municipal government has also provided assistance to military unit # 01123 deployed in the city.”
In all, 2,000 somoni have been allocated from the city budget for these purposes, the municipal official added.
