DUSHANBE, November 18, 2010, Asia-Plus -- The Dushanbe independent weekly Farazh was published yesterday again after a six-week hiatus.
The Farazh editor Khurshed Niyozov says the limited liability company, Hoji Hasanov (formerly Sanadvora printing house), has printed that edition with a circulation of 4,000 copies.
“I express gratitude to all employees of Hoji Hasanov and hope that our editorial staff will work in usual regime in the future if pressure will not be made on this printing house,” Niyozov said.
We will recall that Farazh and two other independent weeklies, Paykon and Nigoh , were closed down on October 13 after being deprived of access to printing houses.
On November 4, Farazh was published as a joint publication with the Russian-language weekly Fakty i Kommentarii . Fakty i Kommentarii devoted eight pages of its November 4 edition to Farazh edition.
The Tajik-language independent weekly Farazh has been published since late 2006.
