DUSHANBE, September 6, 2011, Asia-Plus -- On Tuesday September 6, the Islamic Revival Party (IRP) leader Muhiddin Kabiri, who is also member of the lower chamber (Majlisi Namoyandagon) of Tajik parliament, met here with Ali Morshedzadeh, the head of the Iranian MFA department for CIS affairs, IRP’s head office in Dushanbe reports.’
In the course of the talks, the sides reportedly highly appraised the results of recent official visit of Iranian president to Tajikistan.
The IRP leader appreciated Iran’s support for enhancement of the energy sector of Tajikistan and expressed hope that Iran would provide support to Tajikistan for implementation of the Roghun hydroelectricity project as well, the source said.
Kabiri and Morshedzadeh also discussed a number of international and regional issues being of mutual interests, including the latest developments in Syria, Libya and Yemen.
