DUSHANBE, November 4, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Over the first nine months of this year, some 335,000 of oil products have been delivered to Tajikistan, according to the Ministry of Energy and Industries (MoEI).
A totaled reportedly included 161,000 tons of gasoline, 108,000 tons of diesel fuel, 45,000 tons of aviation kerosene, 4,800 tons of fuel oil, 8,300 tons of lubricants and 12 tons of other oil products.
Russia, Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan provided the bulk of Tajikistan’s fuel imports over the report period. “278,000 tons of oil products, or 83.4 percent, have been delivered to Tajikistan from Russia, 40,400 tons, or 12.1 percent, from Turkmenistan and 7,300 tons, or 2.3 percent, from Kazakhstan,” said the source. “Besides, 3,100 tons (0.8 percent) of oil products have been delivered from Kyrgyzstan and 1,800 tons (0.5 percent) from Uzbekistan.”
According to him, 102 local companies and individual entrepreneurs are now engaged in supplying oil products to Tajikistan.
Meanwhile, some 30,000 tons of liquefied gas have been delivered to Tajikistan over the same nine-month period, which is 876 tons more than in the same period last year.
Some 10,000 tons of liquefied gas have been delivered to the country by OJSC Gazpromneft-Tajikistan, 9,000 tons by limited liability company TojIron, 2,100 tons by CJSC Faroz and some 7,000 tons have been delivered by individual entrepreneurs, the source noted.
Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan provided the bulk of Tajikistan liquefied gas imports – 68.8 and 28.4 percent respectively.
