DUSHANBE, November 23, 2011, Asia-Plus  -- Issues related to conducting joint archeological excavations were discussed in Riyadh yesterday at a meeting of Tajik Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Abdullo Yuldoshev with Sultan bin Selman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, the Chairman of the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities, the Tajik MFA information department reports.

In the course of the talks, the two reportedly exchanged views on bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia on tourism, archeological excavations, restoration and conservation of archeological relics as well as some other issues being of mutual interest.

Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul-Aziz Al Saud, in particular, noted that the Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities could use experience of Tajik archeological expeditions.  He added that Saudi nationals did not have problems with getting Tajik visa and expressed hope that their interest in Tajikistan would rise in the future, the source said.
