DUSHANBE, December 15, 2011 Asia-Plus -- On Wednesday December 14, Minister of Agriculture Qosim Qosimov received Israel''s non-resident Ambassador to Tajikistan Hilel Newman.
According to the press center of the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA), expansion of cooperation between Tajikistan and Israel in the agrarian sector was the focus of the meeting.
The two, in particular, discussed use of high-quality seeds, launch of joint ventures and organization of shot-term and medium-term training courses for Tajik specialists.
Israeli diplomat invited Qosimov to attend the international agricultural exhibition that will take lace in Israel in 2012.
Tajik-Israeli agricultural cooperation was reportedly established in 2009 in the fields of plant cultivation, cattle raising and training of personnel. Tajik-Israeli agricultural cooperation has been expanding in the framework of projects of the Swedish Agency for International Cooperation (SIDA) and through the Israeli company, Agridera.
