KHUJAND, January 8, 2012, Asia-Plus -- The authorities of the northern province of Sughd have cut off power supply to nine energy-intensive enterprises in the area, including four Chinese enterprises operating in the province.
Abdughani Rasoulov, an official with the Leninabad power supply network, says they have cut off power supply to Tieng Long operating in the Bobojonghafurov district, Chen Chen operating in the Spitamen district as well as Wan Da and Di Chen operating in Khujand.
“Besides, we have cut off power supply to local enterprises such as Ohani Khovar in Ghonchi, Sakhi-Khujand and Fudda in Khujand, AKMZ in Chklaovsk and Filiz in Isfara,” Rasoulov noted.
Other enterprises operating in area are currently receiving electrical power if they do not have electricity debts.
Sughd province now receives not more than 7.6 million kWh of electricity per day.
