DUSHANBE, January 17, 2012, Asia-Plus -- 41 countries of the world provided more than US$86.3 million worth of humanitarian aid to Tajikistan in 2011, according to the Agency for Statistics under the President of Tajikistan.
Last year, 769 tons of vegetable oil for more than US$91.3 million, more than 2,200 tons of wheat flour for more than US$1.1 million, US$64 million worth of medicines and medical equipment, US$2.3 million worth of footwear and clothing, as well as food products, electrical appliances and computers were delivered to the country.
Among the donor countries the greatest share in value came from the United States – 70.6 percent, Russia – 6.3 percent, Denmark – 5.3 percent, and China – 3.8 percent.
