DUSHANBE, January 16, 2012, Asia-Plus – Staff changes have been introduced to the Ministry of Interior (MoI) of Tajikistan.
Nourullo Oripov, who had previously served as chief of the Interior Ministry criminal investigation directorate, has been appointed first deputy minister of interiors.
Ikrom Umarov, formerly head of the interior minister’s office, was named chief of the Interior Ministry staff, replacing Tohir Normatov, who was appointed to head the Interior Ministry department for international cooperation.
Sherali Sabzov, formerly chief of the Dushanbe police directorate, was appointed deputy minister of interiors, replacing Anvar Toghoymurodov.
Anvar Taghoymurodov was appointed to head the Khatlon police directorate, replacing Abdurahmon Buzmakov, who was named chief of the Dushanbe police directorate.
Mansour Bukhoriyev, who had previously served as chief of the Interior Ministry department for combating drug trafficking (UBNON), was appointed chief of the Vahdat police department. The position of the UBNON head is still vacant.
