DUSHANBE, January 19, 2012, Asia-Plus -- In 2011, the Qurghon Teppa-based open joint-stock company (OJSC) Transformator (transformer producing plant) produced 115 transformers of different modification for a total amount of more than 3.9 million somoni, which is 350,000 somoni more than in 2010, according to the Ministry of Energy and Industries (MoEI).
The source at a MoEI says the plant overfulfilled its last year’s target by nearly 10 percent.
“97 transformers for more than 1.5 million somoni were offered for sale last year and 32 transformers for a total amount of 380,000 somoni were exported to Afghanistan,” the source noted.
Established in 1937, Transformator is the only transformer producing enterprise in Tajikistan. More than 150 people now work with Transformator. The plant now produces transformers of the following modifications: ТМ25/6-10, ТМ 63/6-10, ТМ100/6-10, ТМ 160/6-10, ТМ 250/6-10, ТМ 400/6-10, ТМ 25/20, ТМ 160/20, ТМ 100/20, and ТМ 630/10. It also produces complete transformer substations (KTT).
