QUGHON TEPPA, January 26, 2012, Asia-Plus -- Officers from the Khatlon police directorate have solved the brutal killing of a five-year-old girl that was committed in the Jomi district on January 8.
The body of the 5-year-old girl with signs of violent death was found in the abandoned sports building in the administrative center of the district in the evening of January 8.
The Khatlon police directorate chief Anvar Taghoymurodov told Asia-Plus Thursday afternoon that a joint operation carried out by local police officers in cooperation with officers from the Interior Ministry organized crime control directorate (UBOP) on January 25 led to the arrest of Farrukh Abdulloyev, 32, who had previous conviction for raping a minor girl.
“Abdulloyev has confessed to the crime and an investigation is under way,” Taghoymurodov noted.
