KHUJAND, February 29, 2012, Asia-Plus -- 51-year-old woman from the city of Khujand, S.S., has been arrested on suspicion of having been involved in drug pushing.
According to the Sughd police directorate, she was arrested on February 27 when she was selling narcotics to an undercover police officer posing as a drug buyer. 70 wraps of narcotic drug that tested positive to heroin weighing 400 grams were confiscated from her. It is t be noted that S.S. has the previous conviction for similar crime.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against S.S. under the provisions of Article 200 (3) of Tajikistan’s Penal Code – drug trafficking; an investigation is under way.
