KHUJAND, March 6, 2012, Asia-Plus -- Based in Sughd’s Mastchoh district, closed join-stock company (CJSC) Olim-Textiles (manufacture and sale of cotton yarn) intends to build a modern settlement with all necessary infrastructure.
The enterprise director general Valikhon Nabiyev says the project includes construction of residential buildings, school, shop and kindergarten. “We have already applied to the administration of the Mastchoh district and we are currently waiting for reply from them,” he noted.
According to him, 465 people now work for the enterprise in three shifts at an average monthly wage equivalent to 250.00 U.S. dollars.
Olim-Textiles was introduced into operation in March of 2010. This year, the enterprise has processed more than 683 tons of raw cotton. In 2011 alone, Olim-Textiles paid 222,802 U.S. dollars in taxes to local budget.
