Members of the working group on accession of Tajikistan to WTO headed by Clyde Kull arrived in Dushanbe yesterday, May 17, for a four day visit.
WTO representatives are scheduled to meet with heads of related ministries and departments of the republic, including minister of economic development and trade, to discuss Tajikistan’s accession to WTO, Tajik Ministry of Economic Development and Trade told AP.
Tajikistan started to hold negotiations on joining WTO back in 2001.
Tajik Ministry of Economic Development and Trade said Tajikistan is currently holding intensive many-sided and bilateral talks with 32 countries of the world.
Tajikistan holds bilateral negotiations with 15 countries. Protocol was signed with two countries – China and India – talks with the United States and European Union reached the final stage.
