DUSHANBE, June 14, 2012, Asia-Plus -- According to the statistical data from the Ministry of Interior (MoI), more than 6,700 crimes have been reported in Tajikistan over the first five months of this year.
There were 169 reported crimes involving the manufacture, acquisition, storage, transportation, and use of drugs over the report period.
The number of thefts has reportedly increased over the first five months of this year. 870 cases of theft have been registered in January-May 2012.
265 cases of hooliganism and 146 cases of fraud have been registered over the report period.
Over the first five months of this year there were 206 reported cases of violation of highway safety rules.
