DUSHANBE, July 30, 2012, Asia-Plus – An operation carried out by officers from the Drug Control Agency (DCA) in Dushanbe on July 29 led to the seizure of a large amount of narcotics, the DCA press center reports.
One package of narcotic drug that tested positive to heroin weighing one kilogram and one package of narcotic drug that tested positive to hashish weighing some two kilograms were found hidden in a car belonging a 37-year-old resident of Dushanbe.
The preliminary investigation has reportedly established that he bought those narcotics from an Afghan national for further sale in Dushanbe.
Criminal proceedings have been instituted against the detained drug pusher and an investigation is under way, the source said.
