DUSHANBE, August 14, 2012, Asia-Plus -- Issues related to strengthening of legal foundation for cooperation between Tajikistan and Belarus in the field of manpower exchange were the focus of a meeting of Safiallo Devonayev, the head of the Migration Service under the Government of Tajikistan, with senior representatives from the Belarus Ministry of Interior that took place in Minsk, Belarus at the end of last week, the Migration Service press center reports.
The meeting was reportedly held for the purpose of implementing the main tasks on establishment of a common labor migration management system, efficient use of labor resources abroad and development of the mechanism for protection of rights of Tajik labor migrants.
In the course of the talks, the sides reached an agreement to draft two appropriate agreements in the near future.
The sides decided to consider the possibility of involvement of Tajik labor migrants in implementation of Belarus projects for rehabilitation of agricultural units as well as proposed to study the issue of organizing vocational training courses for Tajik labor migrants at educational facilities of Belarus, the source said.
