DUSHANBE, January 23, 2014, Asia-Plus On January 21, Tajik Minister of Agriculture Qosim Qosimov met here with Qatari Ambassador to Tajikistan Ali bin Mubarak Saeed Al-Muhanadi.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) press center, Tajik minister informed Qatari diplomat of the state of Tajikistan’s agrarian sector.
Qosimov reportedly outlined livestock and crop production as areas of which could drive the bilateral trade between the two countries. He especially invited Qatari investments in producing honey and processing fruits in Tajikistan.
The MoA press center says that Ambassador Ali bin Mubarak Saeed Al-Muhanadi noted that his country is interested in importing Tajik fruits, honey and livestock products.
The sides reportedly agreed to draw a cooperation plan for developing a joint investment program.
