DUSHANBE February 10, 2014, Asia-Plus -- Since the beginning of the year, an average market rate of the dollar (USD) has risen 0.2 percent in Tajikistan, reaching 4.4.92 somoni (TJS) to 1.00 USD, according to the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT).
Tajik central bank notes that the highest market rate has been reported in Dushanbe and Khatlon province – 4.99 TJS to 1.00 USD. In Sughd, an average market is 4.97 TJS to 1.00 USD and in Khorog – 4.90 TJS to 1.00 USD.
The Euro exchange rate has risen slightly since the beginning of the year -- from 6.72 TJS to 6.73 TJS.
Meanwhile, the market exchange rate of the Russian Ruble (RR) has fallen six dirams in the country since the beginning of the years -- from 10.00 RR to 1.48 TJS to 10.00 RR to 1.42 TJS.
The NBT rate has reportedly risen 0.1 percent since the beginning of the year, reaching 4.7741 TJS to 1.00 USD.
