DUSHANBE, January 7, 2015, Asia-Plus -- The ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has nominated Murodullo Davlatov, the head of the Center for Islamic Studies under the President of Tajikistan, to run for election to the Majlisi Namoyandagon (Tajikistan’s lower chamber of parliament) in the Roudaki single-mandate constituencies.
We will recall that the Islamic Revival Party (IRP) deputy leader Mahmadali Hayit has also been nominated to run for election to the parliament in this constituency.
PDP activist Davlatali Davlatzoda represents the Roudaki constituency in the current Majlisi Namoyandagon.
The PDP also intends to nominate the head of the PDP’s organization for the Roudaki district, Khairullo Sufiyev, to run for election in the Somoni single-mandate constituency.
PDP activist Galiya Rabiyeva represents the Somoni constituency in the current Majlisi Namoyandagon.
