DUSHANBE, February 20, 2015, Asia-Plus -- Police in Dushanbe burned 600 kilograms of narcotics on February 20.
“A totaled included 38 kilograms of heroin, 28 kilograms of raw opium, 461 kilograms of cannabis, 57 kilograms of hashish, 47 opium seeds and 3,572 ecstasy tablets,” Nusratullo Saidov, a spokesman for the Ministry of Interior (MoI), told Asia-Plus in an interview.
According to him, the drugs were confiscated in the course of 2013-2014 and they were material evidences in 79 criminal cases.
2,000 tons of narcotics were seized in the country in 2014, Saidov added.
