In general, the cost of food continues to grow in Tajikistan.
In Tajikistan, prices for flour, meat, milk and rice have risen compared to September last year, while prices for other products have significantly decreased.
The average price of 1 kg of tomatoes last year in the capital markets was 5.3 somoni, and this year it is 2.95 somoni.
Compared to the same period in 2019, the average prices for potatoes and cabbage fell by 15 dirams, onions fell by 1 somoni, cucumbers - by 80 dirams, apples - by 75, eggs - by 5.
In regional centers, the lowest food prices are observed in Khujand, and Khorog has become the most expensive city. Unlike last year, food prices in Bokhtar increased slightly.
Among the districts and cities, prices are relatively low in the markets of Istaravshan and Gissar, while Rasht, Vanj and Tursunzade are distinguished by high prices for food.
