KULOB, March 24, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Kulob authorities have decided to extend the Chamanzor settlement for victims of last year’s floods that has been built on the outskirts of the city of Kulob due to funds provided by the Sultanate of Oman.
Kulob Mayor Homid Abdulloyev told Asia-Plus that land parcels would be allotted for housing to some 300 other residents of the city and the district of Kulob.
“At present there are 50 residential buildings in the Chamanzor neighborhood,” said the mayor, “Besides, a medical center and a mosque were built in the settlement due to funds provided by the Sultanate of Oman. In all, 400 residential buildings are expected to be constructed in the Chamanzor neighborhood.” According to him, they will also build a school in the settlement.
