DUSHANBE, April 26, 2011, Asia-Plus -- On Monday April 25, Minister of Finance Safarali Najmiddinov received Belgian Ambassador to Tajikistan with residence in Astana (Kazakhstan) Daniel Bertrand, the Secretariat of the Ministry of Finance (MoF) said.
In the course of the talks, Najmiddinov and Bertrand discussed state and prospects of further expansion of mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and Belgium and the current economic situation in Tajikistan.
The two, in particular, discussed considered issues related to stabilization of Tajikistan’s economy during the post-crisis period, providing financial assistance to Tajikistan and role of international financial institutions in supporting enhancement of health and social protection spheres of the country.
Tajikistan’s finance, energy and industrial sectors as well as strengthening of bilateral trade cooperation and attraction of investments were also among major topics of the meeting, the source said.
