DUSHANBE, August 9, 2011, Asia-Plus - Dekhkans of Tajikistan have exceeded the repeated sowing plan by 16% on harvested fields.
According to the Tajik Agriculture Ministry’s Plant Growing Department, repeated sowing covered 81.624 ha, while it was planned to cover nearly 70.000 ha.
39.123 ha out of the total area were sown with cereals, 8.8 thousand ha with vegetables, 2.6 thousand ha with melons, 2.7 thousand ha with technical crops, 27.7 thousand ha with fodder crops and 645.3 thousand ha with potato.
According to the source, Sughd area fulfilled the repeated sowing plan by 102%, Khatlon by 115% and RRS by 149%.
