DUSHANBE, September 14, 2011, Asia-Plus -- Over the first eight months of this year, Tajikistan has produced more than 110,000 tons of coal, which is 5.1 percent more than in the same period last year, according to the Ministry of Energy and Industries (MoEI).
The source at a MoEI says local coal-producing enterprises have marketed 110,000 tons of coal over the report period, which is 1,700 tons more than in January-August 2010.
Over the same eight-month period, Tajikistan has exported 15,200 tons of coal to other countries, including Pakistan.
