DUSHANBE, October 11, 2011, Asia-Plus -- The prosecutor’s office in Dushanbe’s Sino district has instituted criminal proceedings against Mr. Sun Nan-shen (phonetically spelled), director general of closed joint-stock company TK-Mobile (cellular operator).
Mr. Sun faces charge of ignoring court’s ruling to reinstate engineer Jamshed Ibrohimov to his previous position after illegal dismissal (Article 363 of Tajikistan’s Penal Code).
Jamshed Ibrohimov had reportedly met with a traffic accident while he had been going on a business trip to the Danghara district, Khatlon province. Jamshed Ibrohimov had been survived while his colleague had died.
According to Ibrohimov, he received a six-month treatment and returned to work, but the company later has canceled a labor contract with him.
Considering that decision illegal, Ibrohimov applied to the prosecutor’s office. The court in Dushanbe’s Sino district ruled that Jamshed Ibrohimov must be reinstated to his previous position. The company management, however, ignored to court’s ruling.
The TK-Mobile top manager, Mr. Sun Nan-shen, who is national of China, is currently outside the country and Asia-Plus has failed to get his comments on the incident.
TK-Mobile is a subsidiary of ZTE, China''s largest listed telecommunications manufacturer and leading wireless solutions provider, in Tajikistan. Established in 2004, TK-Mobile is licensed to provide cellular communication services in Tajikistan in the CDMA-2000 standard.
