DUSHANBE, June 19, 2012, Asia-Plus -- On Monday June 18, Sharif Said, Head of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) met here with Zhang Guowei, head of the Urumqi-based Russian-language monthly KONTIMOST, the CCI press center reports.
Issues related to publication of KONTIMOST in the Tajik language were a major topic of the talks. Mr. Zhang Guowei, in particular, noted that the KONTIMOST editorial board is interested in publishing the Tajik version of the monthly and the first edition is expected to have 3,000 copies, the source said.
For his part, Sharif Said noted that Tajikistan’s CCI would provide all the necessary support for publication and distribution of the monthly in Tajikistan.
The first deputy chairperson of Tajikistan’s CCI, Ms. Larisa Kislyakova, has been appointed an official representative of KONTIMOST in Tajikistan.
The first edition of the Tajik version of KONTIMOST is expected to be published by the end of this year.
The KONTIMOST magazine is the Russian-language monthly publication covers economic and cultural life in China, primarily in the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. The publication is distributed in Central Asia’s nations.
