DUSHANBE, October 2, 2012, Asia-Plus -- KONCAR of Croatia and Turkey’s GOZUM are reportedly ready to support investment projects in Tajikistan.
The Tajik MFA information department reports an agreement on this subject was reached on September 27 during a meeting of Tajik Ambassador to Turkey Farrukh Sharipov with top managers of the mentioned companies.
Tajik diplomat briefed Croatian and Turkish businesspersons on socioeconomic situation and investment climate in Tajikistan as well as water-and-energy potential of the country and investment projects being implemented in Tajikistan.
Top managers of KONCAR and GOZUM expressed interest in participating in the investment projects in Tajikistan and they intend to visit Tajikistan next month, the source said.
The KONCAR Group is an electrical, transport and energy company based in Zagreb, Croatia. Listed on the Zagreb Stock Exchange, the company consists of some 20 dependent companies, employing a staff of over 4,200. Annual sales account for € 400 million, of which almost half are exports.
