DUSHANBE, October 5, 2012, Asia-Plus  -- A number of Tajik enterprises dealing with production of building materials have organized export of their products.

An official source at the Ministry of Energy and Industries (MoEI) has told Asia-Plus that Tajikistan has exported 45,000 tons of silica sand for a total amount of some 112 U.S. dollars to Uzbekistan this year.

Besides, over the first nine months of this year, Tajikistan’s enterprises have exported 36.1 tons of paint-and-lacquer materials for 20,000 U.S. dollars, 7.8 tons of putty for 43.3 U.S. dollars and nearly 5 tons of coating, primarily to Afghanistan and Kyrgyzstan.

The main items of Tajikistan’s exports are primary aluminum and cotton fiber.  Over the first half-year of 2012, Tajikistan has exported 140,000 tons of primary aluminum and nearly 65,000 tons of cotton fiber.
