DUSHANBE, October 23, 2012, Asia-Plus -- Experts from the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (MoEDT) have reviewed the results of socioeconomic development of Tajikistan over the first nine months of this year.
An enlarged board meeting of the ministry that took place on October 23 brought together senior representatives of the government, heads of relevant ministries and agencies as well as banks and entrepreneurial associations of the country.
Speaking at the meeting, Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade, Umed Davlatzod, noted that the country’s gross domestic product (GDP) for the report period has stood at 24.8 billion somoni, which was 4.8 billion somoni more than in the same period last year.
The GDP real growth rate over the report period has reached 7.5 percent and the GDP structure by sources of income included production of commodities – 44.9 percent, services – 42.2 percent, and taxes – 12.9 percent, the deputy minister noted.
