DUSHANBE, November 23, 2012, Asia-Plus -- Over the past ten months of this year, Tajik Railways has reported purchased 165 Ukrainian mad cargo cars.
Tajik Railways first deputy director, Vladimir Sobkalov, says ten other cargo are en route to Tajikistan. “They will arrive in Dushanbe within the next few days,” Sobkalov noted.
“Besides, 25 cargo cars, 15 passenger carriages and two locomotives will arrive in Tajikistan before the end of this year,” Tajik railroad company official added.
Tajikistan’s rolling-stock now includes more than 2,000 cargo cars, 424 passenger carriages and 55 diesel locomotives.
We will recall that at present Tajik Railways offers three routes to the Russian Federation (Dushanbe-Moscow, Kulob-Moscow, and Khujand-Saratov) and two domestic routes (Dushanbe-Konibodom and Dushanbe-Pakhtaobod).
