DUSHANBE, December 28, 2012, Asia-Plus -- Senior representatives of Tajikistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI) yesterday met here with a delegation of Iran’s Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province (Ostan-e Chahar Mahal-o Bakhtiyari).
According to the CCI press center, the sides considered issues related to expansion of economic cooperation between the regions of the two countries.
They, in particular, discussed establishment of cooperation in sectors like agriculture (fishery and livestock farming), mining, food industry (packaging), carpet weaving and building materials production.
The meeting reportedly resulted in signing of a protocol of intent on cooperation between Tajikistan’s CCI and the Foreign Economic Cooperation Department of Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province.
Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari Province is one of the 31 provinces of Iran. It lies in the southwestern part of the country. Its capital is Shahrekord. The province has an area of 16,332 square kilometers and it is mainly active in the agriculture sector. Most of the industrial sector is clustered around the center of the province.
