DUSHANBE, February 14, 2013, Asia-Plus -- Tajik Ambassador to Turkey, Farrukh Sharipov, met with Dr, Serdar Cam, President of The Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA), in Ankara on February 13, according to the Tajik MFA information department.
The sides reportedly considered issues related to bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkey in sectors like education, health care and agriculture.
Attraction of Turkish investments for development of Tajikistan’s economy was also among major topics of the meeting.
In the course of the talks, TIKA president reportedly informed Tajik diplomat that a children’s cancer hospital and a new secondary school would be put in commission in the Danghara district, Khatlon province this year.
The Turkish International Cooperation and Development Agency (TIKA) is a government department of the Prime Ministry of Turkey. TIKA is responsible for organization of the bulk of Turkey''s official development assistance to developing countries.
