DUSHANBE, April 4, 2013, Asia-Plus – On Wednesday April 3, Tajik Minister of Finance Safarali Najmiddinov met here with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) staff mission to Tajikistan, led by Mr. Jonathan Dunn.
The Ministry of Finance (MoF) reports the sides considered issues related to the results of implementation of the national budget for 2012 and parameters of the national budget for 2013.
They also discussed the budget''s social spending and measures to increase the revenue part of the budget.
In the course of the talks, Mr. Dunn reportedly shared his views on implementation of predictive control indicators of the macroeconomic and fiscal policies.
Issues related to monetary and tax policy, Roghun hydroelectric power plant (HPP), implementation of a new tax code, solution of problems facing Agroinvestbonk, external debt service, monitoring state-run enterprises and relations of Tajikistan with other international financial institutions were also among major topics of the meeting.
